Background

I’m Mel — an accredited sports nutritionist and unapologetic foodie. My love of food, fitness and nutrition goes deep, but it was a difficult chapter in 2020 that truly shaped my path. After receiving misleading information, I developed disordered eating behaviours that lead to negative changes to my physical and mental health. Seeking help from a qualified professional set me on a different course: I was committed to learning the right way and to becoming the change I wanted to see in the nutrition industry.

I transitioned from a radiography degree to study nutrition, completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition) and a Certificate in Applied Sports Nutrition. Those qualifications, combined with lived experience, are the foundation of my practice. I help people reach fitness, performance and body composition goals without sacrificing a healthy relationship with food.

My approach is realistic, flexible and focused on sustainable, long-term change. I work to remove rigid rules and guilt, and to build practical habits that fit real lives — whether you’re training for sport, aiming to improve body composition, or just want to feel better in your day-to-day.

When I’m not supporting clients, you’ll find me gardening, getting outdoors, painting, baking, or catching up with friends and family — usually around good food.
